Hey, please do not make Wikipedia links untranslatable and allow translators to modify them freely. Also, note that [[:en:...]] links point to the English Wikipedia. Shirayuki (talk) 21:54, 26 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the advice, I'll try. Rebulka (talk) 07:09, 2 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
If something like this happens, thanks in advance for the fix. Rebulka (talk) 07:13, 2 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

When enclosing unnamed arguments of a template call with ‎<translate>...‎</translate>, always provide parameter names such as 1=, 2=, etc.--Shirayuki (talk) 14:12, 9 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

I'll try, but I'm not very confident in it. I don't want to make a mess. Rebulka (talk) 16:42, 9 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
If you don't add parameter names, warnings may not be shown!--Shirayuki (talk) 10:52, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Update translation pages

[edit]

If you intend to continue making edits like this that invalidate existing translations, then take responsibility for updating the corresponding translation pages. Shirayuki (talk) 14:19, 1 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand this. Does this apply to everyone who edits the site? Where is this rule stated? Isn't it a strong deterrent to any voluntary help with translations? Where is the discussion on this very important issue? Thank you for your answer Rebulka (talk) 08:38, 2 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
It seems you’re quite fond of turning domain names into variables, but I don’t consider this kind of change important enough to justify invalidating existing translations and creating extra work for translators (and translation admins). Shirayuki (talk) 11:10, 2 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the answer. That's how I understand it, I guess I always need to explain it right away. I had the idea that text that shouldn't be translated and could be distorted during translation should be converted to a variable. So no! I'll try to dodge it.
