@Elitre (WMF), in both cases it looks like the user edited a section, and only that section was saved and the rest of the article was discarded. Looks like a bug.

@BDaniel, @Amire80, any chance we can get steps/ideas about how to reproduce the problem? More details about user's configuration are also welcome!

That's phab:T154217. This has happened to several editors during edit conflicts. They have not found the cause yet. All information is wanted.
