Is there a explanation of each element of the format that you need to follow when adding tags (as seen on en:MediaWiki:PageTriageExternalTagsOptions.js)? We have added Extension:PageTriage to an enterprise wiki and would like to make better use of it. Since we did not have the vast majority of templates that Wikipedia has at it's disposal, we reduced the list down to just the stub template. Thank you for any help that you can provide! @Kaldari @Bsitu @Jorm (WMF)

Help page for NewPagesFeed
I noticed that Special:NewPagesFeed doesn't like to a help page, while other pages link to help pages, such as Special:NewPages linking to Help:New pages. I think a help page should be created for documenting the special page added by this extension, and have started a draft at User:DannyS712/Help:New pages feed. Any help or feedback is welcome; feel free to edit it yourself to fix it, I only have a beginning now. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 03:31, 1 June 2019 (UTC)
Hi Danny, good point that the help link is missing. However the software currently only works at Enwiki, so I suggest that we just write a task to add one of those standard "Help" links to the top-right corner of the UI, which can then point to the existing docs at w:Wikipedia:Page Curation/Help. I wouldn't want to waste the time of translators (by making docs over here) if other communities can't use the feature. I hope that makes sense! I've filed it as phab:T224816 - patches welcome if you know how that all works!
They can use the feature, they just don't within the wikimedia cluster... what about the software makes it only work on enwiki? And yes, I am a bit familiar with how adding documentation links works - see phab:T224793
Re: knowing how to add them, oh! excellent! maybe you have some advice for phab:T220147#5190275? :-)
Well, we could add a "see also" link to enwiki, but in the interest of making the extension more wiki-agnostic I personally think a page here would be better
I believe the standard Help link indicators do usually point to this wiki by default, but they're contained in normal interface strings so local wikis can override them - I guess T224816 could best be solved by making the default link point to a very short page here (perhaps the page you're drafting), and then change the Enwiki link to point locally.
(For example, see how they've done it at w:en:MediaWiki:Search-helppage which changes the link in search results. However this is also a bad habit in some cases, because it can lead to badly-forked/outdated local docs :-( This example being a case-in-point, because I personally always want the more detailed info at Help:CirrusSearch on this wiki! >.<)
But to briefly repeat myself, my main concern is wasting any time of translators, so just don't write any extensive docs here (yet!), but a short page is probably good. HTH!
I'd like to publish User:DannyS712/Help:New pages feed within the next ~week, so if you have any improvements you'd like to make please do
Unpatrolled pages aren't shown in Special:NewPagesFeed
Hello @Mattflaschen-WMF !
I've run into a new problem : the unpatrolled/unreviewed pages aren't shown in Special:NewPagesFeed
Oddly, if I review it (without the curation tool, by clicking on "mark this page as patrolled") and then unreview it (with the curation tool), the page magically appears in the https://dicoado.org/dico/Sp%C3%A9cial:NewPagesFeed
Any idea how to solve this ? Thanks !
For example, the page "principe" appears in recent modification as a new unreviewed page https://dicoado.org/dico/Sp%C3%A9cial:Modifications_r%C3%A9centes
But not in NewPagesFeed
Can visitors flag new pages, such that their manual flags will come up in your review tool?
PageTriage and Echo extension
How can I let a notification for the user that goes into his inbox from echo extension ?
I get the following error : "Direct editing via API is not supported for content model flow-board used by ..."
pinging @Mattflaschen-WMF to, hopefully, help out.
I guess this could help too : https://dicoado.ch/dico/Sp%C3%A9cial:Version
@DSwissK Is this still happening?
If so, can you provide details on the steps (what page do you start on, where do you click, etc.) and what you expect to happen?
https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T85030 may be relevant, but you have that fix.
Thank you for your answer. The problem got solved when I used the mentioned fix.
How to add all pages as un-reviewed?
We've just added a bunch of namespaces, but PageTriage evidently thinks they've all been reviewed. How can I put them in the unreviewed queue?
pinging @Mattflaschen-WMF to, hopefully, help out.
@MarkAHershberger I'm not sure.
If there is not yet support, it would be good to write a maintenance script using PageTriageHooks::addToPageTriageQueue (or an optimized equivalent).
Does it work outside wikipedia?
I didn't see anywhere that expressly said this wouldn't work on the average mediawiki installation. I installed the extension on a wiki running 1.22.5. Ran update.php, Version page shows everything's ok.
My "New pages feed" is just plain empty. I've checked the filters and I have them all set for maximum results, yet no results are shown. The regular New pages page has plenty of results.
Not seeing anything in the apache error logs. Not sure what to try next. Any advice?
From your description, I'm not sure what the problem is. However, it looks like hollosch got it working. See the other threads on this page, as well as the config settings at https://git.wikimedia.org/blob/mediawiki%2Fextensions%2FPageTriage/HEAD/PageTriage.php
Using MW 1.23 and Postgres 9.2 as db and facing the same issue. Everything looks good, it even show the message " Please wait...", but then a blank grey box comes up.
@Solanki: Check the network panel in your browser (for API errors) (e.g. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Network_Monitor), as well as your PHP error logs. If you find the cause, please file in Phabricator. To test the full functionality, log in as a user with the 'patrol' right (to see which users have which rights, go to Special:ListGroupRights).
Hi! I had the same problem.
MediaWiki version 1.25.2 and PageTriage version 0.2.1
I just fixed it changing in /PageTriage/includes/ArticleMetada.php all the lines (3 times)
$cache = ObjectCache::getMainWANInstance();
$cache = ObjectCache::getInstance($wgMainCacheType);
This could be wonderful...but..no Templates!
The PageTriage Extensions installs fine, but without any of its required tag '''Templates''', of which there are over 50, not including the embedded templates.
Is there a simple means of installing these? A root Template to Export?
Or, could the Extension be repackaged to auto-install these templates?
Hi, how can i enable this extension to all namespaces i need ?
Set $wgPageTriageNamespaces. All of the config variables are listed at https://git.wikimedia.org/blob/mediawiki%2Fextensions%2FPageTriage/HEAD/PageTriage.php .
Thanks a lot!
How to configure ?
Hi, how can i configure this extension, no toolbar or any features available after installation ?!
I'm not sure it can be configured, most stuff in it was hardcoded for English Wikipedia's pages, templates and practices.
ah, ok... but how can o use these things after installation ?
What happens if you go to Special:NewPagesFeed after installation (make sure you run update.php)?
Ok, i forgot to run update.php :-( thanks for the hint !!!!
