Personal acquaintances: invitation[edit]

Hello Rachel, On the German-language Wikipedia the community has introduced a system for several years in what users conform that they have met other users in real life. This system was created to create more trust between users and thus creating a better and nicer place to work on the wiki. On the German-language Wikipedia it is a huge success and I translated a large part of this tool in English so that also users from other Wikipedias and beyond can use it. It only makes sense to sign up into the system if you have met at least three other users in person: which you have yesterday for example. You can sign up for the tool, after three other users confirm they have met you, you can confirm other users yourself. About this system, more information can be found at w:en:Wikipedia:Personal acquaintances. In the green section are the instructions. On w:en:Wikipedia:Personal acquaintances/Participants will grow a list of participants who are active in the English speaking parts of the world. It would be great if would you sign up! :-) Greetings - Romaine (talk) 15:14, 29 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

PS: On the German-language Wikipedia, everything is translated into English, but you need perhaps to set your preferences on English to show it in this language. Romaine (talk) 15:14, 29 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
PS2: Siebrand signed up as well. :-) Romaine (talk) 15:14, 29 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please provide feedback on suggested improvements to the Code of Conduct[edit]

Thanks to everyone who’s helped work on the Code of Conduct so far.

People have brought up issues they feel were missed when working on "Unacceptable behavior" and "Report a problem". Consultants have also suggested changes in these same sections.

These are important sections, so please take a look at the proposed changes. I apologize that this feedback arrived later than planned, but I think this will create a better document.

If you prefer to give your opinion privately, feedback via e-mail is welcome at conduct-discussion@wikimedia.org.

Thanks. Mattflaschen-WMF via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:18, 24 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
