The highlighted row gets really bright and you can barely read it.

This sounds like a problem with "dark mode". That seems to be a local hack feature on top of the Vector skin. Do you know who supports it?

I'm not so sure. I only know that it was implemented 31 October 2018. Is it created by someone on the wiki I'm editing on?

Possibly? It's certainly not a normal part of the Vector skin, sorry.
