Hi,

I read on the FAQ that the Content Translating tool was focused on creating the first version of a published page, and to make any further edits to it, it'd be best to go on the page directly and click 'edit'. Why then does it shows suggestions of pages to translate that already exist in the target language?

And why does it show this note above the page, I thought from the FAQ that all log in users could use the translation tool:

Translate page - Note: This utility is currently restricted to extended confirmed editors on the English Wikipedia, see WP:CXT for more information.

Thank you!

As the CXT is still under development, programmers need to separate technical issues form bad faith usage. Using the CXT also requires a proper translation. Note that translated articles may stay connected in the revision of the translation, but required to be imported due taking caring of the editors license and avoid a legal issue. You can achieve the extended user status by contributing 500 constructive edits inside the local language project. This information is several weeks old. But only the English project has been restricted in this way.
