Topic on Talk:Edit Review Improvements/New filters for edit review

Hume42 (talkcontribs)

Hi! I'm already using the new filters for edit review, and I'm love it! Now is easier to detect bad faith edits. I just really miss an option to save the previously settings, or an easier and quickly way than save and search in the url. I set up to show 1000 edits in the recent chances, so the filter loads slowly sometimes, but this is normal, I guess. There is a problem that patrolled changes show as unpratrolled, but maybe this is a local problem in the ptwiki.

Thanks very much for the developers team! I think that all wikipedias need this new tool. ~~~~

You're welcome! :)

As I said, the issue of unpratrolled edits maybe be a local problem on ptwiki. For exemple, the Salebot, an anti-vandal bot, doesn't patrolled edits. Probably the same for "Reversão e Avisos", that has the same function of Twinkle rollback on enwiki. I'll ask this issue on my home Wiki.

Abou filters that loads slowly, I'm pretty sure that are my internet connection and set up (1000 edits on recent changes), but if can help, this is my software configuration:

Chromium, version 53.0.2785.143 Built on Ubuntu , running on Ubuntu 14.04.

"Reversão e Avisos" does patrol the edits.

Oh you use Salebot! I'm from French Wikipedia, where it has ben created. And you are right, Salebot doesn't patrol edits, because this bot is based on words recognition. If you type certains words or a certain string of characters, you trigger the bot and you are reverted. Can you send me the link of the page where you have asked that question?

Thank you for your configuration. At least, it is not a software issue (I sometimes have people who don't understand why it is slow while they use Firefox 15). If you think it is your Internet connection, let's say it is not a problem from our side. If I have more feedback like yours concerning loading, I'll run some tests to check.

@Hume42, I have a request from the engineers to solve the "Patrolled changes are shown as unpatrolled in RC Filters results" issue:

  • provide edits IDs. Edit IDs can be found (when diff is clicked) in url, like title=Mavetuna&curid=23751&diff=24947&oldid=24946.
  • provide (if possible) a screenshot of RC page with Unpatrolled filter selected and the results returned.

Thanks!

Hej @Hume42

Would it be possible to have updates on your case?

Hume42 (talkcontribs)

Hey Trizek! The filter is a great feature, I use it almost every day. No complaints.
