Thank you for working on much awaited crosswiki notification. I suggest that there should be preference listing of all wikis for crosswiki notification. A user should have power to specify the wikis he want to notified about and with priority. Regards.

There is an ongoing discussion concerning cross-wiki notifications settings, to allow people to filter which Notifications they want to have. I've reported your idea of priority.

Thanks for your input @Nizil Shah. As @Trizek (WMF) mentioned we are thinking about the degree of control we need to expose to users.

For that it is really useful to get some specific examples. Can you describe which wikis do you often visit, and which kinds of notifications you are interested in getting or not getting from them?

I am mostly active on en.wiki, gu.wiki and wikidata. I don't won't notifications from Wikidata or other about page linking in cross-wiki notifications but would like to have them when I am working on that wiki. I occasionally write in en.wv too but don't want any notifications from it. So can we have a central notifications setting where we can decide that which wiki we need along with which type of notifications we like to see in cross-wiki and on-wiki. This can be done in setting designed in table form where we can check what we want.

One of the aspects we considered in the design of cross-wiki notifications is to give more weight to the notifications from the local wiki.

So for example, while you are at Gujarati Wikipedia, you'll see one notification item for each Gujarati Wikipedia notification, while all the notifications from other wikis will be presented in a single item, that you can expand or not. So even if you have 20 notifications from other wikis (e.g., English Wikipedia or Wikidata), in Gujarati Wikipedia there will be just one additional item, the cross-wiki bundle, which is presented at the end of the list of unread notifications for your current wiki.

Is the cross-wiki bundle causing too much distraction in your daily activities to get it disabled? If that is the case, we'd like to hear some more details.

You may see here (crosswiki notification I received on wikidata) that, though I rarely edited Goan Konkani or Basque wikipedia, I am recieving notifications from them. I am not interested in them so I need to have preference where I can disable them. I also want to have control on what types of notification I want to view in my home wiki from other wiki.(e.g. I don't want page link notifications from Wikidata when I am on gu.Wikipedia)

BTW.its good that you bundled cross-wiki notifications in one when displaying on local wiki.
