Topic on Talk:Content translation

Hello, I just translated https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Stratemakeropzeeshow from Dutch to German. The feature is quite nice. I like that categories are proposed, that there is already the Wikidata link. It is good that I have the freedom to decide what I want to translate and what I consider to be ephemeral to the German audience. But I would like to have an automatic translation to work on. Also, when I deleted some texts I didn't want to translate, it left code residue in the first version I saved. Sadly, because of the infobox in Dutch I had to embed the picture in it by hand.

At the moment, to be honest, I am still not sure whether the feature is really useful, whether it doesn't make sense to do all by hand.

Thanks for the feedback, Ziko.

Can you please tell me which browser did you use to translate "De Stratemakeropzeeshow"?

Machine translation is not available for most languages, but it might become available in the future.

Infoboxes will probably be supported through Wikidata or through manual mapping of parameters. It is an important challenge that we hope to tackle some day. For now we focus on making the translation of the article's prose as comfortable as possible.
