VE requires Vector skin with JavaScript enabled to work; fails badly otherwise. See bugzilla:37855.

That's odd - it's not protected, no. Could you put something on Visual editor/Feedback?

Your Javascript probably failed to load, because page protection does not work with this.

Yeah, I can edit Visual editor/Feedback, but it only has the regular editing environment. Jasper: Can you be a bit more specific?

By the way, the message I get is "You do not have permission to edit pages in the VisualEditor namespace."

Using ?action=edit does not work, you have to press the edit button. Make sure you have Javascript enabled in your browser settings.

The namespace is protected (sysops-only) unless you're using the VisualEditor; this is to prevent people inserting random code that we already know will break it. :-)

Are using the vector skin? The tool doesn't work on monobook for example.
