@Aron Manning: can you provide some context for your enwiki block? I'm concerned about the revocation of talk page access and email access - "now sending out rants via email" --DannyS712 (talk) 01:02, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyS712: Yes, sure. I had concerns about the circumstances of my block. I asked for feedback from an admin by email, detailing the events that preceded the block. I've referred to WP:ADMINACCT. I assume that sounded like a rant, however I'm not sure and I had no chance to ask. As the email was never answered the only explanation I got is the block log comment.
For revoking TPA there is no reason given. Presumably that was the response to the grievances I've documented "for the record". I became aware of the Ombudsman Commission later, that complaint is filed at that commission now.
I've tried to be polite while appealing my block, it seems I wasn't polite enough. There was no revdel or oversight, you can follow the complete discussion in the public logs. There's also a concise proof and explanation on metaAron Man.🍂 edits🌾 01:49, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Looking now --DannyS712 (talk) 01:58, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I'm satisfied that the enwiki block doesn't show a pattern of misbehaviour than warrants stricter scrutiny. --DannyS712 (talk) 02:00, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Aron Manning: Why can the images not be added to commons? Also, how long do you think you'll need the rights for --DannyS712 (talk) 02:00, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If the screenshots are of a free software, educational and you intend to license them under a free license, then they should go to Commons. Masumrezarock100 (talk) 02:16, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyS712: I've seen that the skin and overlay screenshots are uploaded to this wiki, so I wasn't sure Commons is the right place and I've just found Project:Image policy... It seems both Commons and here would be good. In the long term I assume consistency - storing MediaWiki screenshots on the same wiki - is preferable, however it seems feasible to start on Commons and upload here if and when this volunteer project reaches a more mature state. I'll be working on it for at least a few weeks, possibly more, occasionally uploading new or updated screenshots. —Aron Man.🍂 edits🌾 02:33, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Masumrezarock100: The screenshots are of MediaWiki - articles and meta pages -, so GPL and CC-BY-SA licenses apply and the image guideline suggests the use of {{MW-screenshot }}. I have no plans to upload other images than screenshots of these themes and the "interactions" with hardcoded styles.
Based on your feedback I think I'll start with uploading to commons and revisit this question - uploading here - when the status is closer to a final version. —Aron Man.🍂 edits🌾 02:33, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Marking as N Not done then. Commons is a better place for free images anyway. Tag those images with {{MW-screenshot }} there. Commons has plenty of templates and tags you can use. Masumrezarock100 (talk) 02:38, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Will do. Can I upload 10-20 screenshots to illustrate the specific issues that I've encountered, or there is a limitation that I should adhere to? —Aron Man.🍂 edits🌾 02:51, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to upload as many screenshots of "free softwares" as you like. Masumrezarock100 (talk) 03:49, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your help, DannyS712 and Masumrezarock100. —Aron Man.🍂 edits🌾 04:20, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
