Hi, I prepare my article in my sandbox, than I paste it into the main article. But when I copy article from sandbox while VE is enable, my all links are goes to my sandbox instead of other wiki pages. You can see this.

Thank you so much. :)

I think this is a different problem. @NehalDaveND, when you want to copy a page with working footnotes (<ref> tags), you have to first open the page in the visual editor. If you copy the regular page (as if you're reading any other website), then it copies the links (the blue click-able numbers themselves) instead of the ref tags.

Fixing this requires a huge number of changes to how wiki pages are stored. (Basically, when you copy a wiki page, the normal page needs to be able to tell your computer that it's not copying a normal link.) It will be at least a year before that is truly fixed. In the meantime, if you open the page in the visual editor before copying, then the visual editor can provide that extra information.

The problem is not at the refs level, it's with wikilinks, isn't it?

What looks like [1] to us is actually a link to an anchor on the page. When the page is saved, the stuff that we type as <ref>Sample ref</ref> transformed into the HTML equivalent of [[{{subst:PAGENAME}}#cite_note-1|[1]]] at the place where the ref belongs.

If you copy the page (the HTML/what the reader sees), you get that link – which I suppose is technologically "reasonable", but it's definitely not what you want when you're copying content between pages.

  1. Sample ref

Oh, I see. I can't reproduce that, but I suspect that the mechanism is the same (i.e., that it's a failure of copying and pasting from the 'read' mode into 'editing' mode).

@NehalDaveND, can you confirm the problem doesn't happen anymore? TY.

I have just tried and I couldn't find any error like before. I think you fixed it. Thank you so much.
