Current issues should be in the sidebar. There's presently no link to a place where the issues of this wiki are discussed. The SD is now just for MW support.
(Also, Help, FAQ, and the manual could be better combined somehow.)
Could be placed in "communication", or a new section "community" could be created, either incorporating communication or just moving some useless links out from top section: surely RC and community portal, perhaps also categories.
I see that nowadays Communication is mostly a duplicate of Mailing lists and MediaWiki on IRC, with the additional problem that being a separate section it's collapsed on Vector and that only people who already know about mailing list (few) and IRC (very few) understand why they should be interested in them.
I think that ML and IRC should be removed; download and communication merged to navigation; and categories, community portal, recent changes moved to a new "mediawiki.org" section to which we could then add current issues. I'll do so in a few days if nobody disagrees.
I just noticed opening the wiki while logged out that on Vector the "Download" section is collapsed. This doesn't make any sense to me, is there any way to uncollapse it?
I request you to translate the messages as followings.

Thank you.
On 2006 the name of the first section of the sidebar was changed from "navigation" to "navigation (this wiki)" and in 2007 to "site".
Could someone change that back to "navigation" for consistency with other wikis? This would improve the compatibility of scripts (such as this, and these) which assume there is a 'p-navigation' section in the sidebar.
Its been awhile but i thought you could override the header to the side-bar through JS. In essence customizing it to your site design.
My intention is not to change the text (from MediaWiki:Site) which is displayed in some skins, but instead to change the "id" of the first section from id="p-site" to id="p-navigation", which is the usual id of that section. For that, I think it is enough to move MediaWiki:Site to MediaWiki:Navigation and to update the message name on MediaWiki:Sidebar from "site" to "navigation".
Let me do some more research about this but i thought i remembered there being a Common.CSS and a Common.js add to allow for the renaming of the section headers for SideBar, Site, or Navigation. Again, its been awhile so i will have to refind the information.
I understand what you are requesting, its just that it will most likely have to be done through the Common articles to avoid skin conflicts, potentially.
Could you also translate the texts for pt-br?
