Legacy versions are still available from download.wikimedia.org (releases since Feb 2007) and Sourceforge.net (anything older than that). These versions are historical and should NEVER be used in production environments.[2]
Notes
- ↑ If you are using PHP 4, you should upgrade now! It's no longer supported by the PHP group and has lots of bugs. Many shared hosting providers offer both PHP 4 and PHP 5, running simultaneously. Ask your provider if they can do this.
- ↑ If your MediaWiki installation is heavily modified, it may be difficult to incorporate the latest official changes to MediaWiki. To support such users, we maintain old branches of our code for up to a year.
