Write the Docs San Francisco Meetup May 2017

Write the Docs San Francisco meetup will be hosted on May 4th between 7 - 9 pm at the Wikimedia Foundation in 5th-floor lounge. The goal of this meetup is to introduce tech writer volunteers to MediaWiki and share with them opportunities to contribute.

Meetup Agenda[edit]

  • 7:00 - 7:30 pm - Networking over pizza, snacks & drinks
  • 7:30 - 8:00 pm - Presentation from Juan Lara on his experience as a volunteer contributor to the MediaWiki documentation.
  • 8:00 - 8:20 pm - Wikimedia staff members will briefly present on specific projects looking for documentation help.
  • 8:20 pm - 9:00 pm - Small-group working session

Attendees will get an opportunity to make their first contribution and have fun collaborating with fellow tech writers.
