About me
Hello everyone, I'm Sumit Asthana. I did my bachelors in computer science from IIT Patna, India. I love computers especially web technologies and machine learning. Apart from that I like to read, mainly fiction or science fiction and also a bit of history.
I've come to love this community and I hang around and try to contribute in whatever way I can.
I was the org-Admin alongwith User:SSethi_(WMF) for Outreachy/Round_14 and Google_Summer_of_Code_2017
My work
My interest in web has led me here to contribute to this awesome software. I'm currently exploring my interest in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing and always ready to discuss over these two. I'm also closely collaborating with the Scoring Platform Team where I'm helping them build better models for fighting vandalism on Wikipedia.
I had completed my GSoC project with mediawiki in August 2015 where I developed Extension:WikidataPageBanner for Wikivoyage wikis and now being used by Extension:MobileFrontend to show banners.
Right now, I'm the developer and maintainer of the above extension.
My major contributions have been to the above extensions but, I've also contributed to others such as:
