I started working at the Wikimedia Foundation in 2011. I continue doing what brought me to MediaWiki: making the translation process easy and fast. I work on i18n (making the software translatable) and facilitating l10n (adapting and translating the software to particular language and culture).

About Me

I'm a Finnish software developer, with a M.A. in Language Technology. I am a free software contributor since 2003. I joined Wikipedia in 2004 and soon became a MediaWiki translator. To aid my translation work, I created translatewiki.net. Now thousands of volunteer translators use it to translate of many dozens of free software projects in hundreds of languages. I mainly use my volunteer accounts on Wikimedia and translatewiki.net.
