About me

As of January 2, 2013, I am part of the Outreach Program for Women Internship with Wikimedia, working on the "Find the vendors" project with User:Sharihareswara (WMF). Originally from Bulgaria, I currently study in New York City pursuing a Masters of Information Systems degree at New York University under a Fulbright scholarship. I have experience with coding but want to get into product management and design.

My work

My job as an intern will be to find vendors and consultants who actively use and benefit from customizing and reselling MediaWiki, to find out what MediaWiki can do for them and how they can contribute back, and to initiate an ongoing conversation and collaboration. In parallel I will work on some product management tasks. For more details see my application. Also, follow my blog about my internship experience.

Disclaimer: I work for the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I intend to use for edits or statements I make in that role. However, the Foundation does not vet all my activity, so edits, statements, or other contributions made by this account may not reflect the views of the Foundation.

Find the Vendors[edit]

My first task as an intern is to compile a list of active and healthy MediaWiki vendors, consultants, training and hosting services and single wikis with interesting customization . The list is in progress and suggestions are welcome.

You can now find the list at MediaWiki vendors.
