@EMagallanes (WMF) Hi, we don't have a great process in place for this situation. Safest would be to set up a video call with another person that we both know how they look like. Though I'm not sure in this case who that could be. Maybe ths should move to a private internal Slack conversation before this becomes a thread discussing names?

Hi @AKlapper (WMF), re: Ellen's request, might I make a suggestion.
When Service Desk has a users reach out from a non-Foundation email for assistance resetting their Okta credentials and 2fa who we don’t have any record of, we escalate it to their manager for confirmation. Basically we have their manager confirm the request is legitimate and confirm that the email belongs to that person. At which point, we sen the reset link to said email.
Perhaps Ellen's manager, Leighanna Mixter, @LMixter (WMF), can confirm here as verification?
Alternatively, if the user still has access to Slack, we have them ping us their personal e-mail via a Slack message, which generally suffices to verify they are who they say they are. That may also satisfy security requirements here.
