I am translating the article ''Tiruvetkalam Pasupatheswarar Temple'' to Bengali. After saving it shows the error ''Unable to fetch draft information''. Please help me.

Hi, Salil. I'm currently having a similar issue when I start a new translation of an article from Arabic to Spanish. I get the message: "Unable to fetch machine translation token" and none of the functionalities work.

Oh, encountered the same problem. I've already spent dozens of hours on translating "Alan Sugar" into Chinese from English. Please save it!

When I enter my translation page, I can see the "Alan Sugar" item with 71% translated.

But when I enter the translation page of "Alan Sugar", nothing of my work is loaded, and an error says: "Unable to fetch draft information."

I dare not do any change before it's restored.

Same problem for me. This is really frustrating. Any hope that it can be fixed ?

Hello @Salil Kumar Mukherjee, @Melissamarzo, @Ma3r, @Mellonne, I have tried reproducing this issue, and I can't. Are you still experiencing this problem? I have created this ticket to capture this issue; please let me know if the above problem is still happening so I can escalate it. I appreciate your patience. Hopefully, this will be resolved soon.

Yes, the problem is still there. I guess you can reproduce it like this:

1. Make a new translation, and do some edit, then it would be saved automatically.
2. Make another translation from the same article into the same language, maybe by someone else.
3. Enter the first translation again, you may see your saved edit can no longer be loaded.

Yeah, this is just my guess. I'm not sure if you can reproduce it affirmatively according this.

I know #2 can't be done before, but it seems something changed.

Hi@UOzurumba (WMF), thanks for looking into this. I abandonned the page and re-made the translation on an user page. I am not going to use the translation tool for a moment. Until I forget :)

This problem is still persisting. For example, translating the article ''Cobalt(II) iodide'' from English to Bengali is showing the error ''Unable to fetch draft information''.

Good news! I read the following from the ticket:

A fix for this issue has already been merged and will be deployed with the next train. That means that the restoration of such translations will be available on production wikis within this week.
