Topic on Talk:Phabricator/Help

A certain discution on phabricator created frustrations for certains éditors on fr.wikibook. I refer to this task https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T316858 and this contributor Utilisateur:DavidL who rite : " due to the phab:T316858 problem caused by the obvious will of premeditated sabotage of this project, there is no interest to continue contributing here on programming books. ".

My knowledge in informatic is not enough to understand the technical issue but just to see than people wasn't happy in the end. Is that possibility to receive here some explaination on basic english ? What's the problem ? Why phabricator can't deal with it ? And why contributor are frustrated ? Thanks.

This does not sound like a topic about Phabricator itself (this help page is about Phabricator itself) but about disagreement how to handle the expensive use of many many many "syntaxhighlight" tags on a single wiki page which is simply not performant. Might be a topic for https://lists.wikimedia.org/postorius/lists/wikitech-l.lists.wikimedia.org/ instead.

Ok. Sorry @AKlapper (WMF). The page about Extension:SyntaxHighlight, but it's to complexe for me. Can you give just me a couple of sentences in human language about it ? This task talk also about the limite of bits that can be included on a wikimedia web page. Is that limit is the same for all Wikimedia projects ?
