Is it possible to reformat the date and time that are automatically added into the topic title when a user posts a comment from the Help panel to a Village pump page? Currently the time and date formats are very long for the Finnish page, and I would like to keep them to only numbers and not spell out the month, for example.

The length of the message can be changed at https://translatewiki.net/wiki/MediaWiki:Growthexperiments-help-panel-question-subject-template-with-title/fi.
If you have an account at translatewiki, you can make the change, or I can do on your behalf. For the latter, I'd need a new wording, ideally one decided by your community.
It is not yet possible to change the date format as we use the same as in signatures. I'll check of it is possible to improve this.
Out of curiosity, how things are going with newcomers at Finnish Wikipedia?

Actually, if you look at the history of that translation, you can see that I did the translation almost two years ago. :) I translated the Newcomer homepage into Finnish and I've kept the feature on for myself so I can monitor if there are any changes that need to be translated. I could try to trim the text, but it would be great if the time & date were shorter, too.
Unfortunately I don't really have an answer to your question, though, because I don't do much RC patrolling and I also don't watch the discussion page where the newbie questions are posted. I've been meaning to go through the Edit Growth configuration to see if things need changing for a more helpful newbie experience, but haven't gotten around to doing it. Maybe I'll try to do it sooner rather than later. :)
As you noticed, I didn't checked, sorry! :) To be honest, most requests I got regarding translations are not coming from messages translators. Hence my default answer!
I documented the request regarding the date, the team will discuss it soon.
