It has been a while but there has been no reply to this thread.

Hello, I am an administrator and active contributor at Kashmiri Wikipedia. I love to translate articles in Kashmiri language from other languages. For that we use Content translation tool. But the tool is not working properly on mobile interface, we find it hard to contribute. Almost every Kashmiri Wikipedian uses mobile for editing. As such it is hard for us to contribute. Mobile editing is a preferred because of its good keyboard support for the language despite some missing characters.

Is there any option we can enable it in mobile interface. Though in past, i have used the Content translation tool in desktop mode from mobile but the physical appearance of words is very small to cause eye strain. Is there any option to support Content translation tool that is properly supported by mobile interface. It would be really great if this issue is resolved for Kashmiri Wikipedia. It will help this small wiki grow. Thankyou.

Yes. Solution exists, but not for Wikipedia, because hasn't enabled Extension:Gadgets. I use it on my wiki. But Google have not support for ks (Kashmiri), and it's problem for you. When you find any on-line translator for it, you can use it over own template.

We have been enabling mobile support for more languages gradually to keep improving the tool, and we plan to enable it for Kashmiri in the upcoming weeks.

One particular challenge for the case of Kashmiri is the lack of machine translation. The mobile experience is in active development and we have not polished the experience for cases where machine translaiton is missing. Enabling the mobile experience in Kashmiri will be useful to surface many of those issues to polish, but we also want to let you know that it may take some time to get those fixed since we are in the middle of re-architecting the translation dashboard to provide a unified experience across mobile and desktop.

Another related effort is our work to support machine translation for languages that don't have support currently by using NLLB-200 (more details in this ticket). So it is possible that in some months we could enable machine translation support for Kashmiri too.

It is very important for us to hear the interest in using our tools from editors like you.

Exists any API for MediaWiki usable for machine translation?

The Content Translation server-side part (cxserver) provides machine translation-related APIs. From the services available, only the open source ones can be used when using the API outside Content Translaiton. For more details on the architecture, you can check how MT clients work to integrate their services in the tool.

Hm.. 8-/ From all uses my language only by Yandex and Google. I unsupport Yandex and for using Google use own simple template.
