I think you raised a very valid point in T181753.

I am also trying to do that in my wiki. Is that task abandoned or someone is working on it?

Can the number of ‘thanks’ be stored in a variable or in the database and can be displayed for each comment?

Tasks are not really abandoned: they are open to be grabbed by someone who can work on them. It is like adopting a kitten. :)

No clue concerning the technical details: if I was a developer, I think I would have work on it, but I'm not a developer.
