justifying text in a syntax editor is a bad idea.
Topic on Talk:2017 wikitext editor
Well, I'm inclined to agree with you. But why do you post this?
because text is justified in the 2017 editor. you end up with
{{cite book| auth|iijj |iji| 1999}}
Please point to an example page where this happens?
I guess its not that big a deal. It mainly happens with long urls. An extreme example in my sandbox: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Guccisamsclub/sandbox
I don't see anything unusual in your sandbox. The wikitext is not justified, nor is it oddly spaced.

I'm using Chrome on Windows.
Do you see this when you open the page, or only when you copy/paste those lines? Also, what version of Chrome/Windows are you using?
I see it when I enter the source editor. win 10 / chrome 55.0.2883.87 m (64-bit)
thx
I don't see that with that OS and browser. Can you try in an incognito window/ from different browser? Trying to figure out if you may have something installed that justifies text for you.
seems like a userscript or some other setting is messing with it. tried a different account and the problem is not there. sorry.
It's ok, glad you figured that out.
