Topic on Project:Support desk

phab:T107835 and user reports indicate that this is now fixed.

Under the LQT scheme, I could just add Project:Support_desk to my watchlist. It is still on my watchlist, but I'm not being notified of new postings.

Same here, that isn't really productive! :(

When I watch the page it says "You're subscribed to this discussion board! You will get a notification when a new topic is created on this board."

So it sounds like it's *supposed* to be notifying you... I wonder what's going wrong.

I believe this is related to phab:T107835 ("Fix new topic notification on wikis with job queue"), and possibly phab:T101050 ("Set $wgEchoUseJobQueue = true on all Wikimedia wikis (tracking)"). I'll ask for further details. HTH.

@Quiddity (WMF): this implies, that I should get a notification sometimes, yes? If so, it seems I doing something wrong, because I never ever (iirc) got a notification about a new topic on any board I'm watching (and some of them were converted as the first ones on mediawiki.org :(

So, today I see "5 new topics" in my notifications. I guess that is an improvement.
