Once someone new joins the team it makes sense to not add them to the chore wheel immediately and instead to wait. Should a minimum of 4 weeks pass before they're added?
Or maybe a full cycle? Say the wheel is ABCDE with 'D' on duty when 'F' joins, so the wheel becomes ABCFDE. Thoughts?
I like the idea of a full cycle. How about making 'F' as secondary first and then turn them into a primary? that means they will take 2 full cycles before they take charge as primary. Hope thats not too much.
I just felt like with so much going on in terms of access requests and navigating wmf data, chorewheel should be given a little less priority. Plus, looking at how other team members handle the chorewheel is a great learning experience IMO.
