What's been working well?[edit]
- A new volunteer+
- codezee? yep
- there might be a new volunteer for Apps too!
- Github
- 2 person dev team ( or 1 person 24 hours a day )
- Florian submitting patches like crazy
- on the flip side, requires review time (but that's OK!, and his patches are good!)
- WG team communicated issues with submitting to Wikidata and then discussed 'em quickly
- My 20% time :)
- what did you do? Working on latin-cyrillic-latin conversion script for the Uzbek language (core).
- Throwing shit at fan about Minerva as The Responsive Skin for MW
- check out the the thread on wikitech-l ("Boil the ocean...")
- this work should be PMed?
What hasn't worked well?[edit]
- The process for getting everything up on an extension is horribly manual. +
- Getting Gather on beta labs
- Rob has patches languishing in Gerritt
- Greg G is really da man for this
- Action! Talk to Greg G about these patches [MAX]
- Still on it after 2 weeks (no signoff, no tests, no browser tests, no qunit tests, no grunt, no js/css structure or resourceloader, no jenkins verification, and we just got bots on irc and stuff like that)
- ++visibility!
- Getting Gather on beta labs
What is confusing?[edit]
- How to install and configure Gather for testing and code review
- Require Gather.php, so far no config needed
- Action! Get some better documentation up and email [JOAQUIN]
- Bootstrap script if possible?
- OOJS
- Joakino spent 20% time on OOJS/OOJS UI; bad use of time ;-)
- poor/no documentation and confusing
- don't understand why we would use it (Collections team)?
- WG team has been using, Baha learned from Trevor; JS code got bigger, but easier to debug
- We're being pushed to adopt w/o good support: education, documentation, expectations...
- See action above assigned to Kaldari (note Kaldari's action related to css, this is more about javascript)
- Throwing shit at fan about Minerva as The Responsive Skin for MW+
