Better description of what this extension does[edit]

I'm looking for a better, functional description of what this extension does.

The current description talks about "responsible editors" for a page.  But it's not clear on this concept of a "responsible editor".  For example:

- Is there an aspect of controlling who can edit a page?  For example, if there are one or more "responsible editors", are these the only people who can edit the page?

- If there are one or more "responsible editors", who gets notification of changes to the page?  Only those who have explicitly chosen to use watch it using the existing watch mechanism?  Or perhaps all responsible editors get notice of the change, without having to use the existing watch mechanism?  Or ???

- How would one assign a “group” to be “responsible editors”?  What is this “group” concept?  Is it a construct within Mediawiki - groups are created and maintained within WIkimedia?  Perhaps this can be linked to group mechanisms in an external identity management system - say, Active Directory - which would allow me to manage group membership through that external system? 130.76.24.7 19:14, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
