I think that comment was about removing $wgBlockAllowsUTEdit, and thus unconditionally enabling the selection feature, not removing the feature itself. —Emufarmers^(T|C) 10:12, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

If/when removed, there will still be those that want to be able to disable having the option so its probably easier to drag it out into a extension. Peachey88 10:19, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

• Trackbacks — removed from core in r104051. No extension substituting this feature.
