Two things to say

[edit]

One thing to say: I see you piped phab:T171499 at one discussion. Recently, the task is declined.

Another thing: at MediaWiki, you can go to Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-searchoptions and then choose an option to opt-out the newer Advanced Search feature. You can do that also at a local wiki once the feature is released as default. --George Ho (talk) 22:52, 27 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

T250425

[edit]

Just a note to say that phab:T250425 should be done. I don't know if it's on the wikis yet (the train was reverted yesterday), but if it's not there yet, it should appear in due course. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 19:06, 1 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Temporary ban from phabricator

[edit]

Hi, I'm speaking as member of Code of Conduct/Committee. Your comment on phab:T197137#11820797 is a violation of our community norms and standards and given that you have been warned about your tone before, We have implemented a one-week ban of you from phabricator. In the future, make sure you talk to people with respect and avoid unacceptable behavior outlined in the Code of Conduct. I do understand you are frustrated (I had to login at least ten times yesterday alone due to the same change) but that doesn't give you permission to make such comments. Thank you. What I said there was true. The WMF security team demonstrated the wildest amounts of incompetence in trying to test the scripts by loading them in thousands from random user accounts. The fact that something happened from it was inevitable. The fact that users are ending up to be punished for this incompetence from the WMF itself is not inevitable. Unfortunately everyone prefers to be tone policing over addressing the substance. The view of any unbiased onlooker would’ve been that someone should’ve been fired due to this incompetence. So far they’re just being protected and coddled while implementing very strict measures with no consideration for anyone and for no actual reason. This is how you end up losing trust in the WMF and the Wikimedia movement as a whole. stjn[ru] 15:48, 19 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
