Thank you, that's interesting to know - it would have taken me for ever to ascertain that with any certainty from the doumentation. But what about the /en versions of pages that appear - do they serve any useful purpose?

Yes, they serve a purpose: they can be transcluded. For example, if I write {{note}} on an English-language page in this wiki, it will actually transclude Template:Note/en rather than Template:Note – the latter contains translation markup, which wouldn’t work when transcluded. (It works due to language-aware transclusion, which a relatively new thing, available since the 2021.04 release; previously, {{TNT }} was used to do the same thing.) —Tacsipacsi (talk) 14:25, 9 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
