Dear DarTar, Welcome to MediaWiki.org!

Yes, welcome! This site is dedicated to documenting the MediaWiki software, the software behind many wikis, including that of Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Foundation projects.
Please, take a look at the following pages. They might prove useful to you as a newcomer here:

If you have any questions, please ask me on my talk page. Once again, welcome, and I hope you quickly feel comfortable here, and find this site useful documentation of the MediaWiki software.

Tags[edit]

Hello, it seems etherpad:RevisionTags never landed mediawiki.org: can you move it to a wiki page here? Possibly Manual:Tags itself. --Nemo 08:16, 17 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Nemo bis: , good that you reminded me of that etherpad, I almost forgot about it. These are notes from a very old discussion (which predates the first serious attempts to consider OAuth and 3rd party editing interfaces) and not specifically geared towards MediaWiki tags per se, but rather the concept of revtagging for analytics purposes (regardless of its implementation). I expect we'll revamp (and incorporate) those use cases in the context of the Vital Signs section covering "content" metrics, which we're going to work on in the next quarter --DarTar (talk) 22:00, 17 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
