Hah. I actually used a separate computer that had fewer open browser tabs to make the process faster. &section=0 might be slightly better, though page text inside the textarea on &action=edit is already pretty fast, even if it's the entire page text, and you're re-parsing and re-rendering the entire wikitext contents on page save regardless of &section=0. The only nice part of the process was that by using multiple browser tabs, I could switch to the next tab and begin tweaking while the previous tab finished saving and re-rendering. --MZMcBride (talk) 03:16, 29 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oh sure, this method is fast enough. So fast that people using it have been blocked in the past for editing "like a bot". :-) When I want to make it faster, in addition to section=0, I disable JS: that's an enormous speedup! --Nemo 08:04, 29 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
