  • Increasing complexity is a problem. For readers that means: 'too many UI elements', for editors that translates as: "Don't add that new crap to our stable interface".
  • According to many Wikipedians, the software platform is 'complete'. They don't want new features for everyone, just that one feature that they themselves think is really necessary

Things we cannot work on:

  • MP4 video, because of ideology
  • Maps because we will never be as good as Google at it
  • Talk pages, because knowing wiki text is a fundamental skill of all Wikipedians ??
