About me
I am Santhosh Notagar, an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Animation and Chair of the International Relations Cell at St Aloysius University, Mangaluru, India. I have been an active Wikimedia contributor since 2019, focusing on Wikimedia Education, cultural heritage documentation, Wikimedia Commons, and multilingual knowledge creation.

- Cultural Documentation & Grants: Lead organizer of Documenting the Folk Arts of North Karnataka, uploading videos, photographs, and oral recordings of folk traditions; recipient of a Wikimedia Foundation Project Grant (2025) for expanding folk-arts documentation. My work
Within the Wikimedia movement, I serve as the South Asian Ambassador for Wikipedia Asian Month and the President of the Wikipedia Students' Association at St Aloysius University, where I promote the integration of Wikimedia projects into higher education, organize community initiatives, mentor new contributors, and support international collaborations. I am passionate about advancing free knowledge through education, preserving cultural heritage, and building global partnerships that strengthen the Wikimedia movement.
