Move the coordinates below the page title line[edit]

Hello and belated happy Wikipedia birthday!

We (the Wikimedia Foundation Web team) need to move the geographic (and galactic) coordinates under the page title line for a part of the Vector skin users:

  • The move of the coordinates will only be visible for those who use the new version of the Vector skin. From the editing perspective, and for those who don't use our modern Vector, nothing will change. It's only a visual change about where the coordinates will be displayed.
  • Most large and mid-sized wikis have the coordinates below the line.
  • We will rearrange other indicators (such as the page protection icons) as well. We will make sure nothing overlaps or is in conflict with other icons.

In our new version of Vector, above the page title line, there will be buttons and/or links allowing to switch between the languages. Uncheck Use Legacy Vector in your Preferences to see the improvements we have already made and keep up with new ones. For more details about the Desktop Improvements project, see our page on MediaWiki.org.

Could we move the coordinates? What do you think?
