Desktop improvements. A new change![edit]

Hello

Over the next two weeks, we will improve the search widget and the colors of links to local pages (existing on the same wiki).

[Search] A half of you will see images and descriptions for each suggested page. The other half will not notice any difference. After two weeks, we will check if the first half find pages more quickly and effectively. We hope that this will be confirmed, and the new search will be default for all. Each community (not individual users) will be able to request for the option without images or without descriptions. You can learn more on a page dedicated for the search widget improvements.

[Link colors] We have prepared this mainly for users with visual impairments and those who read in environments like sunlight. The colors we are introducing are not really new. For a few years, they have been used in Wikipedia portals, mobile browser, and mobile applications. You can learn more on a page dedicated for the link colors change.

[Context] I'm writing on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation team responsible for the Desktop Improvements. Your community and readers are able to see the newest changes first. You can learn more about our plans.

Do you like the changes? Would you do something different? Share your opinion here or on the main page of the project (in any language).

Thank you!
