I first worked as an Associate Community Officer for the Wikimedia Foundation's 2010 annual fundraiser in October 2010. I joined the Foundation as full-time staff in August 2011 as a Production Coordinator for the 2011 fundraiser. In February 2012, I was promoted to Fundraiser Production Manager.
Outside Wikimedia, I have a background in Computer Science and Information Security and have worked as a technology consultant in the for-profit sector in the United States. I graduated from the University of Tulsa with a B.S. in Computer Science in May 2011 where I did research into information assurance policies and redaction of sensitive information from various media.
In my role I am responsible for everything visible to a user as part of the annual fundraising campaigns. This includes banners, landing pages, donation forms and emails as well as their localization. I work closely with the fundraising engineering team to ensure reliability of the back-end components as well as feature development. In addition, I work with the fundraising creative team to develop new appeals and text and deliver analytics to help measure the success of the fundraiser.
