About me

My name is Obiageli Ezeilo .S. but most people call me Oby. I am an Igbo language teacher, advocate and consultant. I am also an advocate of Media and information with reference to teacher education. I became a Wikimedian in 2017 through my participation in a Blossom Ozurumba led project thon / Abuja /Meetup_June_2017 Wikipedia Igbo Women Edit-a-thon/Abuja/Meetup June 2017 That was my first to hear about Wikimedia Foundation and Wikipedia which took me time to understand the difference. I have actively participated in several activities that promote and create visibility for Igbo Language and African-related contents. I am also a certified Trainer (Eduwikimedian) of the Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom Program, and Certified Train the Trainer Africa, a Campaign Organiser and more. I have been able to have a deeper understanding of free knowledge, collaboration, equity and Inclusion. I am proud to be part of the Wikipedia community, and I am appreciative of what it has provided for millions of people around the world.

My work

I Edit:

In late 2023, I led the first Kiwix4Schools project in Abuja, Nigeria. I’m grateful and remain committed to bringing Kiwix to more schools in Nigeria.
