I´m brazilian, journalist, and I´ve lived in Portugal since 2016. I started to contribute as a volunteer to Wikipedia in early 2020 when i joined the group of users Wiki Editoras Lx, focused on closing the gender gap on the platform. In a short time I became involved with the organization of the group and the production of our events and editathons. Sometimes I also contribute to Wikidata and WikiCommons. Since I started, I try to get involved as much as I can in various activities of the community, such as when I spoke at the diversity debate table at the Festa da Wiki-Lusofonia and participated in the organization of the event Tecendo Redes. I have dedicated myself to bringing the discussion about gender gap on the portuguese-speaking community and, to the off-wiki world, the importance of Wikimedia projects for society and how we can participate.
I´m also member of the Leadership Development Working Group that aims to advise leadership development work by the Community Development team as well as in broader community initiatives in the near term, pending any future changes of direction coming from the Movement Charter and Global Council currently being formed.
My job is to keep the community informed of the developing work of the structured data team and, at the same time, to bring back the opinions and ideas of the community so that together we can get the best out of the new tools that are being created.
