The idea of a Wiki may seem odd at first [1], but dive in [2] explore its links and it will soon seem familiar. "Wiki" is a composition system; it's a discussion medium; it's a repository; it's a mail system; it's a tool for collaboration. We don't know quite what it is, but we do know it's a fun way to communicate asynchronously across the network.

A cgi-bin script written in perl pulled this page out of a dbm file and converted it to html on the fly. (see MoreAboutMechanics) The point is to make the EditText form simple and the FindPage search fast. I've written a similar program several times as a stack (WikiWikiHyperCard) and found easy authoring and fast searching to be important.
Wiki wiki means quick in Hawai'ian, at least I think it does. They call the shuttle at the Honolulu airport the wiki wiki bus.
