Why would you want to do that?

Same question here. We've discussed this on cywiki, and would like ONLY extended users to be allowed to use the Content Translator. Reason? Too many vandals are using it to create spam-articles. Most of them are geo-based in Spain for some reason. Thanks! Llywelyn2000 (talk) 13:41, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

Do you have people spamming the Welsh Wikipedia in Welsh?

(The enwiki setup doesn't stop people from using CX. It only stops people from putting the article straight into the mainspace. At the risk of w:en:WP:BEANS, the obvious workaround is translate, publish to User:Example/sandbox, and then w:en:WP:MOVE the page into the mainspace. This is security through obscurity at best, which is not usually an effective tactic against dedicated spammers.)

Hi and thanks. What w:en:WP:BEANS suggests, is irrelevant to other languages. I'll reiterate our community's request: that only extended users be allowed to use the Content Translator on cywiki. Thanks. ~~~~

To repeat:

How do I enable the option used on enwiki, 'Wikipedia requires users to be extended confirmed' please?
