Currently specifying the width of the player gets outright ignored, with [[File:Example.ogg]], [[File:Example.ogg|500px]], and [[File:Example.ogg|100px]] all yielding the same result (220px). This better be temporary.

I don’t agree. This is not better be temporary, this MUST be temporary. It should be fixed ASAP, but certainly before releasing this feature.
