Hi Karsten - I see that you just blanked the talk pages for a bunch of archived extensions yesterday, like this one. Why do that? Deleting talk page comments seems like a bad idea, even if the extension is no longer useful. At least, I don't see a reason for it...

This is a cleanup effort and I do not think this is useful to keep.
That doesn't make sense to me. If someone clicks on the "Talk" tab for an archived extension, presumably they want to see the old discussions about that extension. Why is it better if they see a blank page?
No sure who would like to read talk of an archived extension.

No, this is imho nonsense. Anyway you had no intention to back down from the start and I did not either. Let's just stop wasting more time on this.
