I tried increasing timeouts in Apache and php, but I still get the error. Is there a timeout setting for Composer that I can increase?

Update: I increased the timeouts to 600 in php.ini, and four files in symfony, to no avail. I hope I can do without this file. You can consider this issue closed.
How exactly to "save MediaWiki:Gadget-ProveIt-classic.js"? And where to find that?
To install Templates and Scripts, you go to Wikipedia and type MediaWiki:Export. That brings up an export window where you can type in what you want. I don't think you need this script, though. It's been replaced by a newer version.

By your sentence "You can consider this issue closed", it appeared that the issue was resolved.
Also for importing gadgets, the more convenient option is to use Special:Gadgets/export.
I tried that. The script is so large it won't import. It times out the same way as when I try to paste it into the page and save it.
I said consider it closed, because I don't think I need that script. But the problem of the Cite link not showing up in WikiEditor is still unresolved.
