RandomSelection now hosted on Gerrit

Heiya, I have seen that ShoutWiki is using the extension in version 2.2 but I cannot find the repo. There are heaps of different versions out there but no canonical repo. Do you happen to know where ShoutWiki fetches and develops the latest code. Cheers

Hi Kghlbn, thanks for asking! Our version of RandomSelection is in our SVN repository (which is hidden). Some time ago when originally the code was hosted on it's documentation page by the author, Jack Phoenix (another ShoutWiki staff member) made a version with several modifications. Our version of it is essentially feature-complete, stable, and up-to-date.

I'll request a new empty repository on Gerrit/New_repositories/Requests, and once it's created, we'll import from our SVN HEAD. :)

Cheers!

Hi Samantha, that's great news! I guess it will be nice to have this extension in a publicly accessible repository. It is quite popular as I saw from the numbers on WikiApiary so having forks spread all other the place is not the best solution. Thanks a lot and cheers!

Hi again, I updated Extension:RandomSelection!

Even though it's feature-complete (it does it's basic purpose), there's a few extras from forks that it doesn't have yet (such as from RationalWiki and Inclumedia), so we'll be incorporating those changes soon.

This version is now on 2.2 with its update as it requires newer extension registration, thus 1.25 (more info is available on the docs).

I'm going to close this as resolved now, thanks for pointing that out originally :)
