I just tested ImageMap on the Foreground skin and found some strange behavior (which I am sure is a skin js problem, but it can't hurt to mention it here):
When trying to click back into the editing section underneath a preview (wikieditor) my browser keeps trying to send me to a new page. It's, as if, the ImageMap has been over laid not just on the page, but so over the entire editing section.
