  1. When there's pre-existing content for a page with the prefix XML: and one enables the extension, the content for the old page is no longer visible - as if it had disappeared. Conversely, when with the extension is enabled, a new page with the prefix XML: has been created and the extension is disabled again, the new content is no longer visible either. It looks to me as if something has not been implemented properly.
    • Is this somehow related to the fact that the page title, as shown on top of the page, does not include the prefix even though it is part of the page name?
  2. Is there a way to disable the XML editor? A very similar ACE editor, also with line numbering, is Extension:CodeEditor, which can be used with the popular Extension:WikiEditor so that editors can easily toggle between them (you can try this out yourself by editing a CSS or JS page like User:Jnanninga/vector.css). Would it not spare you some unnecessary work if you let editors use those or do you have any specific requirements in mind that can't be met by CodeEditor?

I've gone ahead and left a message at Extension talk:CodeEditor to notify anyone reading there of your valuable work and hopefully pique their interests.
