WikiApiary has been locked for nearly six weeks. Its last edit was 20 May 2023. There is no explanation nor any update update on either Phabricator nor the mailing list!

I have no idea and honestly I've given up. You may try asking on the mailing list directly...

Still waiting for their database maintenance complete, as currently the administrator who locked database said: We're moving homes?!

It appears WikiApiary login is experiencing an issue, please see the following error:

Hi,

I'm not sure what the best place is to bring this up, but Wikiapiary has been offline for several months now. A number of users have noted its absence. The site is listed as a project of the MediaWiki Stakeholders' Group, but I'm not sure who if anyone is actively involved in the project. Anyone know who can be contacted to get it back online?

I'm writing an application for recognition of Wikimedia and it would be extremely helpful to have a count of the number of sites using Mediawiki, is this possible? This page just says 1000s, is an estimated number possible, and can it go on this page please?

It looks like there are 21,726 standalone wikis, and 30,169 in total.

Thanks very much Sam, I added the number to the page, perhaps there's a way of doing this through a template rather than changing it manually occasionally? I just said 'over 21,000'

@John Cummings: Thanks, that's a good idea. There's no existing way to update it automatically, but it wouldn't be hard to make such a thing. I wonder if it'd suitable to add it to the toolforge:extjsonuploader…

The link wikifarms doesn't have the same meaning than the word wikifarms in the article.

Wiki farms ultimately are composed of wiki families. I think the meaning is correct

WikiApiary is up and running again.

@Kghbln: The SSL certificate for wikiapiary.com seems to have expired.

I guess it will just be a matter of restarting the webserver @MarkAHershberger: who is in control here.

It's in fact just renewing the certificate and restarting the webserver, since I can't see certificate issued for the next 3 months.

Today I get the warning:

 wikiapiary.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on 1 October 2017, 07:03.

Quiddity: Have a look at phab:T169534. They hit the rate-limit that cannot be bypassed and thus need to wait until that is unlocked.
